OBOREVWORI PRESENTS 18-SEATER BUS TO DELTA NUJ

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has presented a brand-new 18-seater Toyota Hiace bus to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, to enhance journalists’ mobility and operational activities across the state.

The vehicle was formally presented to the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, in Asaba by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.

Ahon said the bus was provided for the use of the union and journalists statewide, adding that it would facilitate their movement while carrying out professional assignments.

He noted that the gesture demonstrated Governor Oborevwori’s recognition of the media as a vital partner in the development of Delta State and would further strengthen government-media relations.

Receiving the vehicle, Oyowe thanked the Governor, describing the gesture as evidence of a leadership committed to translating promises into concrete action.

He said the bus would significantly improve journalists’ ability to discharge their responsibilities and commended Ahon, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, and the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, for their roles in actualising the intervention.

Oyowe also commended the ongoing provision of solar power at the NUJ Secretariat and assured the Governor of the union’s continued appreciation and support for his development agenda.
