OBOREVWORI: INAUGURATES ABOH-AKARAI ROAD, BRIDGE.

The Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has inaugurated the N29.8 billion naira Aboh–Akarai Road and Bridge.

The project located in Ndokwa East Local Government Area was designed to connect the isolated Akarai Community.

The 11-kilometre project which includes a crucial bridge across the Okiri River, is designed to connect the formerly isolated Akarai community to the rest of the state, aimed at fostering economic growth and improving transportation in the riverine area.

The project which costed state government about: ₦29.8 Billion naira includes, 11-kilometre road and a bridge spanning the Okiri River.

This project marked the first major government-built road and bridge infrastructure in the community, aimed at ending long-term isolation.

The project is to boost economic activities, improve access for rural communities, and enhance transportation.

The project was Flagged off on May 6, 2026. It is part of a broader infrastructure plan to connect rural and urban communities in Delta State under, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s “MORE” Agenda.
